ACCA students from the British Professional College (BPC), affiliated with The British College (TBC), have once more attained the esteemed title of World Topper, maintaining their remarkable track record of outstanding achievements.
In the June 2023 Taxation Paper, students Dipamshu Thapa and Harsh Bardhan Shah secured second and third place globally, earning an impressive 98% and 97% respectively, nearly perfect scores. Additionally, Ranjan Poudel's exceptional performance in the Strategic Business Reporting paper resulted in an outstanding score of 91%, securing second place worldwide.
The ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) program holds the distinction of being the largest and rapidly expanding international accountancy body globally. These students are now following in the footsteps of BPC alumni, Riya Manandhar and Rejika Maharjan, who both achieved first place in the ACCA World Rankings on two separate occasions.
Professor Mary Bishop, the Executive Principal and an ACCA Fellow herself, who previously served as the Director of Learning at ACCA Global, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the students. She praised their remarkable achievement of attaining world topper status in the immensely challenging ACCA exams. Professor Bishop also acknowledged the students' dedication and commitment, while expressing appreciation for the teaching staff's unwavering support in helping all BPC students excel in this prestigious qualification.
This achievement comes at an opportune moment for the College, as they have recently received the prestigious Platinum Approved Learning Partner (ALP) status from the ACCA. This highest level of approval bestowed upon qualification providers marks a significant milestone for the College.
