BCS (IT) in Cyber Security & Networking of University of Computer Science and Skills is four years program aims to prepare candidates for responsible and qualified roles for working in various functions of, e.g., Network Engineer, Network Support Specialist, Network Administrator, System Administrator, Security Engineer, Network Consultant, Ethical Hacker.
The BCS (IT) in Cyber Security & Networking is focused a unique opportunity to learn about specialist security techniques and use real-world networking equipment in a security context. Students are also educated about market-leading Cisco Routing & Switching Techniques, security appliances, ethical hacking techniques, vulnerability analysis, and penetration testing and data encryption technology. This program has been designed to equip the individual with global knowledge of network and security.
The Bachelor program comprises four years as standard period of studies. It is conform with European requirements on Undergraduate studies. Due to its comprehensiveness on superior level, the Degree awards 240 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System).
The BCS (IT) in Cyber Security & Networking course strongly emphasizes the concept of Employability Impact.
Graduates will be equipped with outstanding knowledge and skills in computer science specialized in networking and cyber security, but also the right officially and widely recognized documentation for their Degree on international level.
Objectives of Program
- Computer systems and network, establishes link between people and businesses on a global scale. Business and industry is dependent on diverse network technologies and there is a high demand for professionals for designing as well as efficiently managing network systems.
- Technology-infused course comprises technology, security and networking modules and thus offers diverse job opportunities for students. It also emphasize on the installation, operation, security and maintenance of computer systems as well as networks as far as business and industry is concerned.
- The course will equip the students with the essential skills for designing, implementing and managing systems effectively to ensure that people benefits from the use of these systems. This learning will also help the students to manage, design, implement, configure and operate secure networks on a professional footing and identify the threats to network security and formulate and implement defense strategies and mechanisms.
Learning Outcomes:
- Develop first critical thinking and analytical approaches to principles and practices of contemporary contexts in the IT and computer based industry by sound analysis of its internal and external environment.
- In addition, gain practical capabilities adding value to employers and their organisations, and being appreciated by customers.
- Develop the ability to read, understand, and make sense of specific organisational needs for sustainable progress in a variety of contexts of the IT and computer based industry.
- Introduce to evaluation and critical selection of strategies, tactics, and operational models in the contemporary and future-oriented IT and computer study and management.
- Contribute to IT and computer based organisations through informed insights for practising socially responsible corporate citizenship and apply high standards of moral and ethical behaviour to the own work and to that of an organisation in the IT and computer based industry.
Eligibility
To be eligible for BCS (IT) in Cyber Security & Networking, students must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with atleast D+ Grade in all subjects of Class 11 and 12 from a recognized board.
