The respective college reviews the applications and notifies eligible candidates to take an entrance test. The date and time for the entrance test are communicated to prospective students. The college may also interview candidates for final admission selection. Candidates given provisional admission under special conditions must submit all necessary documents within a month of regular classes starting, or their admission will be annulled.
Student Evaluation

Internal evaluation, conducted by the teaching faculty, constitutes 50% of the total grade, while the remaining 50% is from the final examination. To pass a course, a student must obtain at least a D grade in both internal assessments and the final examination.
Attendance Requirement

Transfer of Credit Hours
Up to 25% of the total credit hours from courses completed in an equivalent program at a recognized institution may be transferred or waived based on the recommendation of the faculty head. To transfer credits, a student must have earned a grade of B or better in the respective courses. Courses taken more than five years before transfer are not eligible.

The grading system at Pokhara University assesses students based on their consolidated performance in seasonal and final examinations. Each letter grade reflects a student's relative performance in a course. A student may receive an incomplete grade ("I") in exceptional cases if the requirements are not fulfilled by the following semester. In that case, this "I" grade automatically converts to an "F." Students with an "I" grade do not need to re-register for the course in the following semester to complete the necessary work.

A student's performance is evaluated using the semester grade point average (SGPA) and the cumulative grade point average (CGPA). The SGPA is calculated by dividing the total honor points earned in a semester by the total number of credits registered. The CGPA is calculated by dividing the total honor points earned by the total number of credits completed. At Pokhara University, a CGPA of 2.5 or more is considered Second Division, and a CGPA of 3.0 or more is considered First Division.
Students are generally expected to maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.0. Those whose past performance suggests they cannot maintain this CGPA may be advised to leave or be dismissed from the program. Upon completing all requirements with a CGPA of 2.0 or better, students are awarded a Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) degree. A CGPA of 3.6 or better qualifies for a degree with distinction.
