Message from the Chairman

Batsa Gopal Vaidya

Born in 2001 AD, as a collective brain child of the few like minded artists and the Art educationists then, Srijana College of Fine Arts today, has traversed a long way since to become a leading non-profit community Art College. Begun in a very humble way, but since the day one we never failed to dream big- to turn it into a premier center for higher learning in Art.

In many respects, we have attained it. Begun with a modest number of students-with less than two difits, we stand proud today, numerically, with more than three hundred plus students and more than forty faculty members. Academically, the excellence of our education system is well reflected by the highest score achieved by our students consecutively almost every year in Bachelor's Degree (BFA) exams under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Tribhuvan University.

In terms of scope for studies too, we have expanded and continue to offer number of new courses of studies- BFA programs in Graphic Communications, Traditional Painting and Traditional Sculpture- besides the BFA courses in Music and Dance.

So by every count, we are ready and poised to take off for more lofty goals: and we are well supported by a team of efficient staff and very competitive faculty. But we equally remain aware that this is no time for complacency: well aware that our constraints are too challenging- a building of our own - inadequate space and the physical infra-facilities as needed of an Art institute of our repute.

Moreover, we are in constatn dream of expanding our course of Studies to Master's Level in Fine Arts in future. We are convinced that our dream is near and attainable-given that we continue to receive, as usual, your continual support in future.
