ABOUT

Sirjana College of Fine Arts was founded in 2001 in affiliation to Tribhuvan University. It offers Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Course.

Today the college stands as a premier and a leading Art College in Nepal. The College is an outcome of a common vision shared by a group of prominent artists and art lovers of Nepal. The College holds the pride of being the first fine arts college established by the private sector in Nepal. 

The College has the unique privilege of being the first ever college of Fine Arts – initiated by a group of eminent artists or the pioneers of modern Nepali Art cum the well-seasoned art-teachers.

With affiliation from National Examination Board (NEB) it offers Ten plus two program in Humanities. The courses offered are unique such as Classical Music (Tabla), Classical Music (Vocal and Instrument flute), Painting, Applied arts, Sculpture etc. 

Sirjana College of Fine Arts has continually strives for the excellence in education system - in leaching and learning. It continues to strive to better the educational standard.

Mission:

The college immediate mission has been essentially to impart quality Art education – in the streams of Fine Arts like Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Communications, Music and Dance: and to create a continual pool of globally competitive artists annually.

At the same time the college remain equally concerned to nurture and project the rich cultural heritage of Nepal globally. Precisely so, Sirjana has made special provisions for the Academic Courses in – Bachelors in Fine Arts (BFA) in Traditional Nepali Art – in Painting and Sculpture.

Salient Features

The college has reasonably a well stocked library- with a specialized focus. It has an impressive collection of books on Art of Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Communications and Dance/Music etc. The students constantly avail the facility for their references purposes in studies and paper writings. 

The college has professionals with long and respectable teaching experiences in their respective fields. Moreover, some of the faculty also has the privilege of being the eminent personas in their respective genres of Arts in the country.  

As the college aims to transform each of the students into a celebrity, eventually - in future, it has made visions to familiarize students with all the practicalities of public exposures. And it entails many skills after their graduations. 

Accordingly therefore, the college has created a space as a display hall - an Art Gallery. Moreover, the college also houses one of the renowned Art Galleries in the town- Srijana Contemporary Art Gallery. Here, they can gain first- hand practical experience to exhibit works.  


Admission Guidelines

  1. Should have scored needed GPA for the study of   Fine Arts.
  2. Students from any stream who have passed class 12.
  3. Special preference to the students who have passed class 12 with Fine Arts.
  4. Should complete the entrance test procedures (practical, written and viva).

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

The College has various scholarship schemes and awards for the deserving students. The scholarships are named after the eminent artists of the country who have had remarkable contributions in the evolution of Nepali Art.
