ABOUT
The School of Development Studies & Applied Sciences (SDSAS) was established in accordance with the Article 9D of the Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU) Act 2006 and by the decision of the LBU's XI Senate Meeting held on August 14, 2019 in Lumbini.
It aims to promote teaching and learning of development studies & applied sciences by integrating Buddhist philosophy, knowledge, and education's conceptual and practical applications to inspire Tapovana, ethical society, sustainable development, and nature conservation. The Senate also decided to offer three master-level programs under the School, namely
- Master in Agroforestry (MAF),
- Master in Development Studies (MDS), and
- Master in Environmental Studies (MES).
