ABOUT

School of Forestry and Natural Resource Management is a constituent campus of the Institute of Forestry, Tribhuvan University. The Faculty of Forestry (FOF) is one of the 3 faculties under the Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU) in Nepal. The mission of the AFU is to produce competent manpower in agriculture, forestry, and allied disciplines. It encourages and supports faculty members and students in research and scholarly activities relevant to the needs of Nepalese foresters, and agricultural and livestock farmers.

The university's faculty members are involved in a variety of research and development activities with the assistance of national and international institutions and agencies. They concentrate their research efforts on increasing agricultural commodity production and productivity, post-harvest technology, improving food product self-life, biodiversity conservation, and local innovation using participatory approaches to improve farming communities' sustainable livelihood systems. Postgraduate students are contributing thesis research to generate knowledge and technologies to address agricultural, livestock, and forestry issues in the country.
