The number of students who rush to the capital city for quality education has been increasing day by day. One of the main reasons of this rushing is the lack of an institution providing quality education in the district. Though the students have to face different financial, environment and adjustment problems in Kathmandu, the parents are obliged to send their children there.
In this preface, Himalayan Institute of Management, Science & Engineering (HIMSE) has been established with joint effort of an active team of local committed academicians in the district at first on private sector. With the collaboration of Mount Valley Academy Higher Secondary School, Charikot, HIMSE Academy been conducting plus two management program affiliated to National Examination Board of Nepal (NEB Nepal) since 2066 B.S. The academy also offers TU BBS program. The institute aims to be an academic destination of the students of this district and that of neighbouring districts as well.
Situated in a serene academic environment free from political pollution, HIMSE Academy has facilitated students providing well managed library and reading room, computer and hotel management lab, proper management for sports, excursions and other extracurricular and co- curricular activities, both English and Nepali as the medium of instruction, regular health check up and extra classes for the needy students without extra fee. The college provides e-learning facilities with e-mail and internet. It also uses information technology in teaching learning procedure.
Having the decades of teaching experience of all founder members, HIMSE Academy has earned its name and fame within a very span of time. It occupies ten ropanis of land and owns its building.
The college has plan to conduct technical education like Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Veterinary Science and Diploma in Pharmacy affiliated to CTEVT, plus two science and school (Nursery to Ten) in near future. Currently there are 120 students in plus two management and 120 students in BBS.
About two hundred students have been produced from plus two level till now. Many of the BBS studying students have got job working in various credit and co-operatives.
