Admission Guidelines

Admission Procedure for Bachelors

Eligibility for Enrollment

Students who have successfully completed or expect to successfully complete Higher Secondary or equivalent examination before the session formally begins at HCM are eligible to apply. Students who have come from boards other than NEB or Tribhuvan University, however, must get the authorized letter of certification from either NB or Pokhara University to prove that their examination boards are equivalent and that they are eligible to take admissions.

Enrollment Procedure

Candidates need to submit the completed Application Form. Application forms can be collected from the college or downloaded from our website. All applicants must submit the following with the application form:

Duly completed Application Form together with 2 color passport size photographs
Certified copies of all relevant academic/ professional qualifications and transcripts
Application processing fee of NRs. 1500
Prospective students in all our undergraduate programes are required to submit a 350 – 500 word Personal Statement (PS), take a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a Presentation and an Interview.

Admission Procedure for Masters

Masters Admission Procedure

Admission to the program is based on the promise shown by applicants as indicated by their quality of application, scores on entrance test, essay writing and personal interview. All applicants have to appear in a computer-based entrance test, which is designed to assess the applicant’s quantitative aptitude and proficiency in English language.

Eligibility For Enrolment

Students, who have successfully completed or expect to successfully complete, a minimum three years bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline, with 50% or 2.5 CGPA are eligible to apply. Work experience of 4 to 5 are needed if you do not comply with required percentage.

Enrolment Procedure

Candidates should apply in the prescribed Application Form, which is enclosed in the application packet. Application form duly filled has to be registered with the College.

All Applicants must submit the following:

Duly completed Application Form together with 2 color passport size photographs
Certified copies of all relevant academic/ professional qualifications and transcripts
Application processing fee

Candidates will be offered admission based on the Admission Committee’s assessment of the quality of application, scores earned by the prospective student in the entrance exam(IMAT), essay writing and interview.

The admission test will consist of English Language aptitude test & Quantitative aptitude test.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

HCM offers scholarships to students from any institution. In addition, HCM also offers awards on the basis of financial need, academic merit, demonstrated leadership and other special criteria. To be considered for these awards, students must complete the admission form available at HCM. (You must be a current applicant for admission to access the Awards Profile). You should also visit the website for reference on any other awards that may require an application. Admission scholarship decisions are made on the basis of the candidate’s average at the time of admission and are not revisited on the basis of the candidate’s final grades. The Himalayan College of Management reserves the right to give preference to students whose marks are the result of a single attempt at each course.
