ABOUT
G. P. Koirala College of Agriculture and Research Centre (GPCAR) was established as a central unit of Purbanchal University with a mission to produce highly qualified human resources to address the agricultural, food, and nutritional challenges faced by society and to support the nation through providing academically sound and technically proficient professionals in the farming sector.
Since its inception, GPCAR has been dedicated to excellence in teaching, learning, and research activities. The college initially offered a B.Sc. Hons in Agriculture program, aimed at developing skilled graduates who can contribute significantly to Nepal's agricultural landscape. In 2024, GPCAR expanded its academic portfolio to include a Bachelor of Science in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics (B.Sc. FND), further broadening its impact and commitment to addressing critical issues related to food security, nutrition, and health.
With a focus on theoretical knowledge and practical application, GPCAR provides a comprehensive educational experience that prepares students to tackle real-world agricultural problems effectively. The college's dedication to fostering innovation and research ensures that graduates are well-equipped to contribute to advancing agriculture and nutrition in Nepal and beyond.

GPCAR is committed to its mission of imparting quality education in Agriculture and Animal Science to students, enabling them to make a difference through technically sound and competent, and socially amiable and yielding services to the nation and the world in this area. GPCAR strives to develop itself as a center of Excellence in Agriculture and Animal Science.
