Gorkha United Public School (GUPS), established in 2000 AD (2057 BS), is a leading academic institution located in Kohalpur Municipality-02, Banke, in the peaceful heart of Nepal’s Mid-Western region. Spanning across 1.6 hectares of serene land, GUPS boasts well-developed academic and residential infrastructure, including modern classrooms, dedicated administrative and academic buildings, fully equipped science and computer labs, a rich library with a study hall, an auditorium, and a cafeteria. With its calm and pollution-free environment, the school provides an ideal setting for focused learning and all-round development.
Since its inception, GUPS has been committed to academic excellence, driven by a dedicated team of highly qualified and experienced educators. In 2065 BS, GUPS expanded its academic offerings to include Plus Two (10+2) programs in Science and Management, under the affiliation of the National Examinations Board (NEB).
In 2075 BS, the school took a significant leap forward by launching a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program affiliated with the Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Rampur, Chitwan. This program is conducted under the banner of Gorkha Polytechnic College & Research Centre, a sister project situated on 4.5 hectares of land in Baijanath Village Municipality-4. With this addition, GUPS has solidified its role as a pioneer in technical and agricultural education in the region.

Note: Students who are eligible to get admission have to go through a written Entrance Exam and interview.
GUPS provides scholarships to different categories of students every year which is about 10 % of the total students' number. 'The academic Topper Scholarship' is provided to the students based on each Terminal Examination Performance and other scholarships are given on an annual basis.
