The Agro-Forestry Polytechnic Institute (AFPI) is a public Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVT) institution, operating as a constituent institution of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT). It is strategically located in Chhatradev Rural Municipality, Ward No. 4, Mathura, Arghakhanchi, approximately 17 kilometers northeast of Sandhikharka, the district headquarters.
Established in 2017 AD, AFPI's core mission is to provide technical education and vocational training opportunities to individuals across the country, particularly in the fields of agriculture, livestock, and forestry, as well as to address community-specific needs. The institution's activities are geared towards fostering positive changes in service and production through the application of modern technologies, thereby improving the economic conditions and living standards of individuals and contributing to overall national development.
Currently, the institute offers Diploma in Agriculture programs, specializing in both Plant Science and Animal Science. Beyond these long-term programs, AFPI also conducts various vocational training initiatives in multiple areas. Furthermore, the institute is committed to community service, extending agricultural services, veterinary clinics, and plant clinics to the local populace, with a particular focus on empowering poor women and disadvantaged individuals.
To ensure broader accessibility for individuals from remote areas, the institute plans to allocate specific quotas for Janajati, Mahila, and other disadvantaged groups from its upcoming batches.
