The Agro-Forestry Polytechnic Institute (AFPI) is a public Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVT) institution, operating as a constituent institution of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT). It is strategically located in Chhatradev Rural Municipality, Ward No. 4, Mathura, Arghakhanchi, approximately 17 kilometers northeast of Sandhikharka, the district headquarters.

Established in 2017 AD, AFPI's core mission is to provide technical education and vocational training opportunities to individuals across the country, particularly in the fields of agriculture, livestock, and forestry, as well as to address community-specific needs. The institution's activities are geared towards fostering positive changes in service and production through the application of modern technologies, thereby improving the economic conditions and living standards of individuals and contributing to overall national development.

Currently, the institute offers Diploma in Agriculture programs, specializing in both Plant Science and Animal Science. Beyond these long-term programs, AFPI also conducts various vocational training initiatives in multiple areas. Furthermore, the institute is committed to community service, extending agricultural services, veterinary clinics, and plant clinics to the local populace, with a particular focus on empowering poor women and disadvantaged individuals.

To ensure broader accessibility for individuals from remote areas, the institute plans to allocate specific quotas for Janajati, Mahila, and other disadvantaged groups from its upcoming batches.

The institute offers a three-year diploma program in Agriculture, focusing on both Plant Science and Animal Science.   • Academic Building: The institute possesses its own well-equipped academic building, facilitating an effective and unobstructed learning environment for students.
  • Administrative Building: An independent administrative building ensures efficient and smooth operation of the institute's administrative tasks.
  • Staff Quarters: Two well-appointed staff quarters, designated for senior and junior instructors, offer comfortable, secure, and high-quality living arrangements. Each room includes a kitchen and bathroom. The quarters are further enhanced by continuous access to purified drinking water, electricity (including solar backup), and high-speed internet.
  • Guard House: A dedicated guard house at the main entrance gate ensures 24-hour security coverage for the entire institute, including instructors and hostel residents.
  • Guard Quarters: Separate living quarters for security personnel within the campus facilitate their comfortable stay, contributing to enhanced morale and superior overall campus security.
  • Canteen: An on-campus canteen provides easy access to pure, fresh, and healthy food for all students and staff. A weekly menu is determined through an agreement with the institute, ensuring varied meal options.
  • Power House: The institute operates its own power house with a dedicated transformer, providing a consistent three-phase electricity supply to ensure uninterrupted operation of high-power modern equipment.
  • Goat Shed House: A modern goat shed houses contemporary goat breeds, serving to enhance the practical knowledge and skills of students in both Animal Science and Plant Science.
  • Buffalo/Cattle Shed House: Similarly, a modern buffalo and cattle shed provides a practical learning environment for students, housing cows and buffaloes.
  • Poultry Farm: A modern poultry farm is currently under construction, aiming to provide students with comprehensive technical and practical knowledge in poultry farming upon its completion, benefiting both Animal Science and Plant Science students.
  • Veterinary Teaching Hospital: A functional Veterinary Teaching Hospital offers Animal Science students hands-on experience, allowing them to diagnose and treat various animal health issues. This facility also provides opportunities for students to assist local farmers with their livestock under the supervision of instructors, fostering practical skills and confidence.
  • Semi Hi-Tech Tunnel: To demonstrate controlled and off-season farming techniques, the institute features one high-tech semi-tunnel and two standard tunnels, developed in collaboration with the Arghakhanchi Agricultural Knowledge Center. These facilities benefit students from both Plant and Animal Science programs.
  • Fish Pond: Two fish ponds serve both Agricultural and Animal Science faculties, providing practical training in fish management, including fry, feed, disease, oxygen, and pH management, as well as market preparation.
  • Agricultural Demonstration Field: An agricultural demonstration field, developed with the support of the Arghakhanchi Agricultural Knowledge Center, includes two standard tunnels. This area focuses on showcasing off-season vegetable cultivation techniques, with students learning and then disseminating this knowledge to local farmers.
  • Practical Field: Ample practical fields are available for students to apply theoretical knowledge and develop hands-on skills through year-round practical exercises.
  • Separate Laboratories: Dedicated laboratories for Zoology, Botany, Physics, and Chemistry are available, primarily catering to the practical learning needs of first-year students.
  • Library: A well-stocked physical library offers students comprehensive resources for in-depth study beyond classroom instruction. It contains a wide array of books for all subjects across both faculties, alongside a diverse collection of general knowledge materials. Access is granted upon adherence to standard library regulations.
  • E-Library: To foster technology-friendly education and expand students' access to national and international resources, a dedicated e-library (internet library) has been established. This facility allows students to explore diverse educational content via computers and the internet.
  • RO-based Purified Water Supply (Hot and Cold): Prioritizing the health of students and staff, the institute has installed a high-tech Reverse Osmosis (RO) based water purification system, providing access to purified hot and cold drinking water 24 hours a day.
  • Solar Lighting System: Automatic solar lighting systems are installed throughout the campus perimeter, enhancing the visual security of the institute's structures and ensuring the safety of hostel residents during nighttime hours. This consistent illumination aims to deter any undesirable activities.
  • Sanitary Pad Vending Machine: To support female students' continuous attendance and well-being, an automatic sanitary pad vending machine is installed within the girls' restroom.   • Digitized Classrooms: All classrooms are digitized and technology-friendly, equipped with CCTV cameras, overhead projectors, fans, and lighting. This setup prioritizes student safety and access to modern learning tools.
  • High-speed Free Wi-Fi: High-speed optical fiber Wi-Fi is available across the campus, supporting the e-library concept and encouraging self-directed learning among students. This facility offers equal access to both instructors and students.
  • Girls' Hostel: A dedicated girls' hostel is operated on campus, primarily for female students from distant areas. Priority for accommodation is determined based on ease of access to the institute and geographical distance.
