Premier International IB Continuum School, the first and only International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum School in Nepal, successfully hosted the Primary Years Programme (PYP) Bazaar. This vibrant event celebrated creativity, learning, and community engagement. The PYP Bazaar offered students a unique opportunity to connect their classroom learning with real-world applications, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. It highlighted how students at Premier International IB Continuum School take initiative and apply their knowledge to make a meaningful impact.
This student-initiated event allowed Grade 5 students to transform their classroom learning into real-world experiences. Students from the Primary Years Program (PYP) program, ranging from Early Years to Grade 5, also showcased their unique talents and creative expressions. As part of their unit on market systems, the Grade 5 students explored important economic concepts, including the law of supply and demand, price setting, and persuasion techniques. They applied these concepts in a practical setting by creating and selling handmade products. This hands-on experience provided the students with valuable insights into market dynamics and a deeper understanding of real-world economics.
The event featured contributions from various grades, each aligned with their respective units of inquiry. Grade 4 students showcased their creativity through storytelling and performance art, captivating the audience with drama and musical presentations that explored the theme of communication and expression. Grade 2 students impressed visitors with their imaginative creations, demonstrating how imagination enhances the ability to think, create, and express oneself. Additionally, Pre-1 students added a delightful touch by exhibiting their artwork, reflecting their journey of self-expression and exploration of new ideas.
This year’s PYP Bazaar provided a platform for students to build confidence, practice entrepreneurship, and engage with the community. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of students, parents, and teachers, the event was a resounding success, setting a new standard for future initiatives.
