KATHMANDU- University of Nepal has officially announced the launch of its undergraduate programs under the School of Arts, Sciences, and Technology (SAST). Established by an Act of the Federal Parliament as a public, autonomous, and non-profit institution, the university is positioning itself as a "Centre of Excellence" aimed at bridging the long-standing gap between academic theory and practical market demands.

The university’s mission is driven by the need to address the "Knowledge and Skill Deficit" often cited by employers. By internalizing practical knowledge and aligning curricula with both national and global standards, the institution aims to keep talented Nepali students within the country to contribute to the nation’s socio-economic development.

A Modern Approach to Learning

Unlike traditional academic models, the University of Nepal is introducing a highly flexible, interdisciplinary framework. This approach allows students to explore multiple fields of study, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. The teaching-learning process is designed to be student-centered, moving away from rote memorization toward critical thinking, ethical inquiry, and creative problem-solving.

Diverse Academic Tracks

Prospective students can choose from a wide array of future-focused degree programs designed to meet the challenges of the 21st century:
