In a recent seminar 'Research Writing and Skill Development Program,' jointly organized by the University Grants Commission and Atharva Business College, prominent voices emphasized the critical need for Nepali universities to elevate their focus on research education. Dr. Khomraj Kharel, an associate professor at Saraswati Multiple Campus, underscored the pivotal role of research and discovery in steering Nepal towards progress, advocating for a concerted effort among universities to spearhead innovative research endeavors that directly benefit society.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Dasharath Neupane stressed the significance of multidisciplinary research for advancing the field, advocating for comprehensive investigations extending to grassroots levels within villages. Dr. Tej Bahadur Karki, President of Nepal Philosophical Research Center (NPRC), echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the imperative of research-based programs to foster sustainable development, emphasizing the need to broaden the scope of research initiatives for national progress.
During the program, several associate professors, including Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Shrestha, Dr. Rajanbilas Bajracharya, and Dr. Deepak Mahat, emphasized the pivotal role of the younger generation in driving research innovations, highlighting the transformative potential of engaging with the research landscape.
The three-day training program attracted participation from 38 professors representing institutions such as Atharva Business College, Malpi International College, Rajdhani Model College, Kathmandu College of Central State, and Prime CA College. Participants received comprehensive training on essential topics, research objectives, methodologies, and data presentation techniques, emphasizing the importance of equipping educators with the tools necessary to cultivate a vibrant research culture within Nepali academia.
