Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' on 9th Baisakh (2081) from Mahendranagar emphasized that when students graduate from universities, they must emerge as capable and morally upright individuals. He also expressed the need for scientific and technological manpower to accelerate the country's economic transformation.
Addressing the fourth convocation ceremony of Far-Western University, Prime Minister Prachanda highlighted the crucial role universities play in providing formal and theoretical education and fostering practical, life-applicable, and social transformations. He stressed that universities must focus on producing human resources capable of contributing to the nation and its people.
"The youth are the future of the nation. Therefore, when they graduate from universities, they should be not only morally upright and disciplined but also responsible towards the nation and its people," stated Prime Minister Prachanda. He emphasized the necessity of scientific manpower to strengthen the democratic system and accelerate economic transformation.
He further emphasized the importance of universities' contribution to producing skilled human resources by enhancing competitiveness in the global educational market. Prime Minister Prachanda highlighted the significance of universities in expanding access to higher education for citizens of Sudurpaschim Province, stressing their vital role in fulfilling the need for skilled human resources in the country.
Prime Minister Dahal also mentioned the initiation of medical education under the technical health science faculty and emphasized the government's necessary support for its expansion. He indicated the government's commitment to establishing the National Medical Science University in Gaeta, ensuring access to specialized treatment services in the Sudurpaschim region.
Regarding the establishment of the university, he expressed confidence that it would serve as a milestone in the region's development.
Prime Minister Dahal also emphasized the need to elevate the university's academic standard and transform it into a center for attracting studies and research for all. He stressed the importance of fostering cooperation, support, and harmony among professors, staff, and students to enhance the university's academic standard.
He concluded by highlighting the necessity for universities' leadership to collaborate with other prestigious international universities to expand physical and educational improvements and student welfare programs and develop into a premier educational institution.
