Interactive Leadership Training Programme for School Principals Organized by Oxford University Press

Kathmandu, September 22, 2019: Oxford University Press (OUP), the world’s largest university press, organized a first of its kind Interactive Leadership Training Programme for School principals on 22nd September, at Hotel Annapurna, Kathmandu.

The workshop was conducted by noted trainer Dr. S. Neelkanthan, and was attended by over 70 principals from several prominent schools across the country.

The interactive training programme focused on evolving ‘Leadership with Emotional Intelligence’ in Education. Dr. Neelkanthan emphasized on importance of effective leadership skills for principals and how it is inextricably linked to student performance.

Speaking about the training, Mr. Bhushan Gurung of The Chand Bagh School expressed that the event was insightful. He added the  interaction was revelation about the power of emotion for better leadership and also its paramount importance of EQ in leadership. Furthermore, he clarified balanced EQ leads to better leadership. On the other hand, principal of DAV school, Ms. Bhuvaneshwori Rao told that every success story is adaption, revision and change. 

Dr. S. Neelkanthan is a Consulting Psychologist, Freelance Trainer, Counsellor & Life Coach. He comes with rich corporate experience of 34+ years working with prestigious organisations like NTPC, Indian Coast Guard (Ministry of Defence) as an Officer and held key positions in many Private Corporates. He conducts regular leadership training workshops for Principals, HODs, Teachers, Students and Parents.
