Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) affiliated colleges; Kathmandu University School of Education, St. Xavier’s (BSW program), National College and Nepal College of Management, together are organizing the Hult prize On-campus this year under Hult Prize at KUSOM 2022.
Hult prize focuses on solving global challenges working closely to fulfill United Nation Sustainable Development goals. This year’s call to action for the Hult Prize is, “Getting the world back to work.” The challenge aims to create 2000+ employment opportunities by 2024 AD. and the participating students will move their project forward based on this vision. This is a golden opportunity for students to turn their ideas of a better world into entrepreneurship.
Before the finals of the On-campus program, the participating groups will be mentored by expertise, talented groups of trainers to submit their entrepreneurial plans in a phased manner in front of an esteemed judge panel in the final event. Various interactive programs will be conducted with successful entrepreneurs, workshops on how to prepare their business pitches; which will be operated by the Hult Prize at KUSOM Campus Director, Ms. Sadikshya Pandeya. The group that excels in the competition will advance to the next round of regional summit. In this way, the group that excels in the competition among the groups selected from the campuses around the world will win US$1 million to implement their business idea into reality.
One among the various interactive programs, “The Entrepreneur in you” is the first grand event organized by the Hult Prize at KUSOM 2022 on the 4th of February via Zoom where the audience will be hearing the firsthand experiences from growing and successful entrepreneurs of Nepal. There will be great discussions about the very interesting journey that entrepreneurs go through and a good head start for the participating students.
In light of the events taking place On-campus, Hult Prize at KUSOM just concluded the Info Sessions for campuses under Hult Prize at KUSOM. where the organizing committee and Campus representatives conducted sessions in their respective colleges motivating the students to bring forth their idea, transform it into a social startup business. The teams are registering from all the colleges and “We are really excited to meet the aspiring entrepreneurs from our campuses, who are ready to create an impact globally,” says Sadikshya Pandeya, the Campus Director of the Hult Prize at KUSOM 2022.
