The National Examination Board (NEB) is gearing up to publish the much-awaited class 12 exam results according to their annual schedule. With the evaluation of the answer sheet complete, the board has begun the process of re-checking, verification, and data entry.
NEB Chairman Dr. Mahashram Sharma assures a smooth result release by the third week of Shrawan, barring any unforeseen technical glitches.
This year's class 12 exams, held from Baisakh 14 to Baisakh 24, saw the participation of 491,497 students from 5,542 schools across 1,526 exam centers, including one in Japan. Notably, this year marked the implementation of an automated exam center selection system developed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in collaboration with NEB. This project saw Kathmandu's exam centers chosen through a randomized method for the first time.
As per the Letter Grading Directive 2078, students must secure a minimum of 35% marks in the theoretical section of each subject to pass. This directive, already implemented for class 10 this year, has been in effect for class 12 since 2078.
