Durga Bahadur Tharu (Kavir), Mayor of Barbardia Municipality has been named Edusanjal's Person of the Month for October 2021. Edusanjal honored Mayor Tharu with a letter of commendation and an insignia during a meetup in recognition of his novel approach for the upliftment of local education and reform.
According to Chief Tharu, the local sector has been allocated 30% of the budget to improve education. In addition, he announced full scholarships in Engineering, MBBS, and CA for three students from the municipality. Scholarships have also been introduced for students from economically disadvantaged families and marginalized areas.
To keep the municipality's students from having to move, a multi-technical school has been established in collaboration with the municipality and the federal government. The municipality's Technical Education and Vocational Training Council has also approved the operation of six added subjects in the municipality.
Aside from that, on Ashad 28, 2075 BS, compulsory basic education was declared. The facility was established as part of the Mayor's People's Program at Simha Secondary School in Belbhar.
