Dean office scraps seat limitation for LL.B program

June 30, 2018: Office of Dean, Faculty of Law, Tribhuvan University has scrapped the seat limitation in Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) program. With the protest from different Students Union, the seat limitation system has been scrapped. Dean Tara Prasad Sapkota said that entrance examination was conducted to enroll a limited number of students in a fixed quota but because of pressure from various Students Union, the quota system has been scrapped. Interested students can get admission in Nepal Law Campus from Ashadh 21.In the entrance examination conducted by the Dean's Office, 6 thousand 5 hundred and 10 students appeared.

Dean's Office had allocated limited seats for the program among various colleges running the program (800 seats for Nepal Law Campus, and 500 each for six campuses running the program). There were 500 seats on the law campus as well but because of the protest from the Students Union, the seats were increased to 800.

In the last academic session only, about 4 thousand 2 hundred and 23 students were granted admission in the Campus. The campus said that only 300 students were regular students.

LL.B is a three-year program. Those students who have completed bachelor’s degree in any discipline can get admission in this course.
