City Campus Butwal, under the affiliation of Lumbini Buddhist University, hosted a grand opening ceremony on April 5, 2023, which generated an enormus amount of excitement and enthusiasm. Distinguished guests, faculty members, students, local representatives, and community members attended the ceremony.
The formal opening of the campus was graced by several notable dignitaries, including Chief Guest, Hon. Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Former Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Bhoj Prasad Shrestha, Province Parliament Representative, Sudarshan Baral, Ex-Province Minister, and several others. The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, which was followed by a celebration that marked the official launch of the campus.
In addition to the inauguration, the Chief Guest and other guests also inaugurated the master plan for extending City Campus Butwal for the next ten Ytears. The plan aims to address the evolving demands of the labor market by constructing new facilities, expanding existing programs, and introducing new courses.
The occasion was special for City Campus Butwal as it marked the beginning of their mission to provide exceptional education and a supportive learning atmosphere to the students. Their objective is to furnish students with a comprehensive education that will equip them to face the challenges of the future.
During the inauguration ceremony, the Campus proudly presented it's state-of-the-art facilities, which include modern classrooms, a well-equipped library, computer labs, sports facilities, and more. They take pride in offering Bachelor in Travel and Tourism Management with Honors in Buddhism (BTTM) and Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Law (BALLB) programs.
