CCA Essay Writing Competition
Certified College of Accountancy (CCA), one of the gold approved learning partners ACCA in Nepal is organizing the Inter College Essay Competition for all the +2 level students of Kathmandu Valley. The closing ceremony for the event will be held on 11 February, 2023 (Magh 28)-Saturday at CCA Program Hall. There will be certificate distributions to all the participants and token of love distribution for college representatives.
The purpose of this competition is to make students explore their creativity and showcase their talent while enhancing their writing skills. Manish Sharma, executive director of CCA says” this essay competition will help promote curiosity in young minds and make them research oriented.
The competition will be held in two rounds- Preliminary round and finals. For the preliminary round, students were asked to write a 1000 word essay on the topic- What is more important: Higher Education or Skill Acquisition? They had to submit the essay in word format within a given time frame. In total, there were 18 students from 10 different colleges; CCRC, Nepal Mega College, Orient College, New Vision Academy, Himalayan WhiteHouse International College, People's Campus, Manaslu World College, Pushpasadan Secondary School, Jubilant College and St. Xavier's College taking part in this essay competition.
On the basis of first round essays, 10 participants will be shortlisted for the final round. The final essay writing competition will be held on the day of the closing ceremony before the grand event. The topic will be disclosed on the spot and participants will hand write the essay and submit. This format will challenge quick thinking and judgment of the students. The best essay will be declared the winner. The winner will be awarded with NRs. 30,000 cash along with a shiny trophy. Similarly, the first runner-up will get NRs. 15,000 and the second runner-up will get NRs.10,000 while all the students participating in the competition will get NRs. 25,000 discount card which they can later use to claim scholarship upon their ACCA study at CCA.

Throughout the year, CCA conducts different extra- curricular events, competitions which provides a short and fruitful break to students from their daily study routine. This time CCA is going to organize an Inter-College Essay Competition.
