M.Sc in Forestry of Agriculture and Forestry University is a two years program. A total of 44 students are enrolled each year. 

 

Eligibility

Applicant must have cleared Bachelor in Forestry or equivalent. The minimum schooling year required to be eligible is 16 years (10+2+4).

Basis of admission

The merit list for admissions will be published according to the merit list prepared by giving 90% weightage to the entrance exam and 10% weightage to the marks obtained at the graduation level. The pass percentage of the entrance exam will be 40%.

The entrance examination question paper will be prepared with 90 questions in the following subjects from the undergraduate course.  All the questions will be of multiple choice objective type, for which 70 minutes will be given. The subjects and number of questions to be included in the entrance exam will be as follows.

(c) Forest Ecology - 5
(d) Agroforestry-5
(e) Forest Protection - 5
(f) Community Forestry- 10
(g) Soil Conservation - 10
(h) Forest Utilization - 10

(j) Wildlife and Planning and Management of National Parks and Protected Areas - 10
