ABOUT

Reliance College, located in Saraswotinagar, Chabahil, Kathmandu, is one of the esteemed educational institutions in Nepal. The college is affiliated with two prominent universities: Tribhuvan University, the most popular university in Nepal, and Rajarshi Janak University (RJU).

The primary objective of Reliance College is to provide quality education in the fields of Management, Information Technology (IT), and Humanities, aiming to prepare globally competitive scholars and leaders.

At the bachelor's level, Reliance College offers a four-year Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS), and Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) under the affiliation of Tribhuvan University. Additionally, it offers a Master's in Business Studies (MBS) at the master's level. Under the affiliation of Rajarshi Janak University, the college provides programs such as BBA, BCA, and BSc in Computer Science and Information Technology (BSc CSIT).

Salient Features

Transportation:

Reliance College offers comfortable and reliable transportation service for non–residential students coming from different corners of Kathmandu valley. The school transportation is provided to the students at subsidized rate.

Cafeteria:

The college has its own cafeteria supplying hygienic food items at reasonable prices to the students. The cafe is healthy and well furnished. It provides delicious tiffin and foods. It also provides clean, filtered and boiled water to the students to avoid any water–borne diseases or health risks.

Library:

The college has a library which is full of adequate collection of required text books, reference books and other several numbers of collections on literary books, fictions, prose and many more.

Computer Laboratory:

Computer lab is well–facilitated with adequate number of LCD monitor computers with suitable domains for each class. RIA also offers a network and local application to all students including word processing, spreadsheets and database management, internet and e–mail.

Science Laboratory:

Science lab is spacious, full of modern equipment and instruments to cater the needs of the students. It is equipped with museum specimen for different level students in well organized way.

Infirmary:

Students at Reliance College can utilize the basic medical facilities under the supervision of medical personality. First aid facilities are readily available for those students who need them in emergency.

Hostel Accommodation:

The college provides hostel accommodation having all necessary facilities. The hostel has a good environment for studies.

Recreational Activities: Games like basketball, yoga, badminton, volleyball, chess and table tennis are available for hostel students. Besides these all, educational and recreational excursions are also managed.

Admission Guidelines

Eligibility:

For BA/BSW/BBS Programs:

Students must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 'D+' Grade in all subjects from a recognized board
Students must pass the entrance exam conducted by the College

For BCA Program:

Students must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 'D+' Grade in all subjects from a recognized board
Students must pass the entrance exam conducted by Tribhuvan University

For MBS program:

Candidates must have completed Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University
Candidates must have passed the entrance examination conducted by Tribhuvan University
