ABOUT
Nepal College of Development Studies was established in 2007 in affiliation with Tribhuvan University. The college offers Bachelor of Arts program in Social Work and Rural Development (BASWRD) as a major subject. The college was established to strengthen social work education in the country. The course combines learning on social work and rural development theories. It involves field practicum as integral of social work training and educational excursion to understand rural resources. It is based on annual examination system. As part of the field work education, each student is placed in an organization of their choice and is expected to complete 250 hours of supervised field practicum in a year.
The college plans to offer Bachelor of Arts in Social Work with majors in Psychology or Population or Economics or Home Science or Political Science or Buddhist Studies or Geography or History or Culture.
