Founded in the year 2001 A.D.National Academy for Medical Sciences (NAMS), is the first private Institution offering Health Education in Nepal.

NAMS College is the intellectual outcome of a group of distinguished and eminent medical/health personalities, who visualized a desperate need of a College, which can be acknowledged as an Educational Center of Excellence.

National Academy for Medical Sciences aspires to look to the future and contemplates to develop innovative ways of providing the nation's citizens with greater access to health education. Admission Guidelines

Admission Criteria for B.Sc Nursing:

  1. Candidate must have completed intermediate science or 10+2 or equivalent with Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math and English as main subjects and should have secured minimum of 50% of mark in aggregate. 
  2. Must have completed 17 years of age

Entrance

There will be entrance examination of one paper (English 50 mark, and hundred mark of nursing science related/health science related major subject area). The question will be of multiple choices. Duration of examination will be 3 hours. Candidate must obtain at least 50 percent marks to pass entrance examination; however, the selection will be based on the merit list in the descending order.

Admission Criteria for Bachelor of Public Health:

To fulfill the entry-level requirement for admission to BPH, the candidates should have proficiency certificate in general medicine, any other recognized certificate level course in health sciences, or intermediate science certificate or ten plus two with biology with second division in aggregate in certificate final examination and a pass in the entrance examination conducted by Purbanchal University.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONAn entrance examination is conducted each year during the month of October. There is one paper carrying one hundred and fifty marks consisting of general sciences, health sciences and English (50 marks in each). All questions are multiple choices. The duration of examination is three hours. The candidates must secure at least 50 % mark to pass the entrance examination. The candidates are selected from the merit list in descending order.
