ABOUT

Lalitpur Valley College (LVC) is the first and only college in Lalitpur district to offer a B.Tech Food Technology program under Tribhuvan University. It was founded by proven and experienced academic experts with support from an emerging, remarkable, and committed creative team.

Affiliated with Tribhuvan University, Lalitpur Valley College with its peaceful premises is situated at the heart of Lalitpur city. The college is in proximity to the historical and commercial area of the city. Centrally located, Lalitpur Valley College is easily accessible from different parts of the city as well as nearby rural areas.

Facilities at Lalitpur Valley College

Library

Library at LVC has a large variety of books covering all of the topic areas the college offers. Aside from the mandated literature, students can have references for their disciplines. Students are also encouraged to study important papers, publications, reports, and journals at the college.

Laboratory

Students must work and experiment in several laboratories as part of the course. For these purposes, the college features well-equipped laboratories.

Computer Lab

Students can use the computer lab to complete homework and search the internet for e-resources and services.

Counseling

The counselor at LVC will provide advice and guidance to prospective LBV students on course selection and career goals.

Admission Guidelines

Program Eligibilities

BTech Food Technology

The candidates who have passed in second division I.sc or +2 (Science) and certificate level of food technology /laboratory technology from Tribhuvan University or an institute recognized by this university shall be considered eligible to apply for admission to BTech Food Technology. Students are selected based on their merit in the entrance examination.

BSc Microbiology

Students who have passed I.Sc or +2 Science with a Biological stream from TU or an institute recognized by TU shall be considered eligible to apply for admission. The students are selected based on their merit in I.Sc. or +2 and entrance examination. The students should have secured at least a 50% score at the PCL level or the entrance test as prescribed by the faculty board or the college. The students should appear in the entrance test conducted by the LVC or TUIoST.

Bachelor of Business Studies

Students who have passed Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) or +2 in Management (Commerce) or equivalent course from TU or an institute recognized by TU shall be considered eligible to apply for admission. The students should have secured at least 50% score at the PCL level or +2 equivalent program. The students should also satisfy any other entry requirements or the criteria including the entrance test as prescribed by the faculty board or the college. The students should apply in the prescribed form for the admission test (CMAT) within the time specified along with non refundable prescribed fees.
