ABOUT
Himalayan Institute of Science and Technology (HIST), a Purbanchal University-affiliated institution, has long been known as a student-centered institution that emphasizes innovative, experimental, and learning skills while instilling values such as ethics, endurance, strength, and truth.
In the year 2002, HIST Engineering College began its academic journey with a bachelor degree program in electrical and communication engineering, recognizing the need to deliver quality education at an accessible cost in the field of engineering and technology.
HIST Engineering College added one more bachelor's degree program in civil engineering and two master's degree programs in engineering management and information system engineering almost two years after its founding. All of its academic programs are overseen by a highly dedicated group of Nepalese and international professionals.

In 20 years period, HImalayan Institute of Science and Technology will excel in global competitiveness and establish itself as one of the major centers of learning in the field of science and technology in Nepal.
Mission
Immediate, short-term, medium-term and long-term strategic plans will be implemented to transform the vision into reality. All efforts will be streamlined for the mission.
Objectives
- To conduct Bachelor level of enginnering degrees to produce skilled and innovative human resources to fulfil the need for the nation's development.
- To produce quality engineers as highly qualified human resources as per with the international standards.
- To promote quality enginnering education and thereby doster the sound foundation for responsible professionalism in engineering section.
- To plan and act continously towards the goal of making it a center of learning and ultimately a deemed Technological University.
HIST has established a one-of-a-kind educational atmosphere that not only educates but also fosters personal discovery that goes beyond current limitations to improve the mind and spirit.
HIST is housed in a one-and-a-half ropanis building. The main structure consists of a four-story building with a basement. The building has a total size of 11475 square feet of buildable space. Departments, lecture halls, a computer lab, drawing rooms, and administrative offices were all located in the main structure. The library and computer center are housed in a three-story structure with a basement on the southwest side of the main building.
