The Faculty of Agriculture (FoA) is the vital faculty within Agriculture and Forestry University considering the faculty strength, staff number as well as the number of students enrolled both in undergraduate and post graduate programs. Recently, this faculty has expanded its undergraduate program (B.Sc.Ag.) through College of Natural Resources Management, Puranchaur in Kaski.
It encourages, facilitates and supports faculty members and students for research and scholarly activities relevant to the needs of concerned stakeholders. The FOA fosters student self-development, commitment and responsibility for welfare of Nepalese society through imparting the knowledge regarding modernization and commercialization of agriculture sector in sustainable manner.
This faculty has started undergraduate program as B.Sc.Ag. (4 years) since 2069/70 BS at Rampur and since 2072/73 BS at Puranchaur in Kaski. Besides the production of quality agriculture manpower, this faculty is fully committed towards the research and extension activity of our University. In this context, FOA is willing to provide agriculture services to the communities on the basis of mutual cooperation through establishing Science Centers in different agro-ecological zones of the country. Further, our competent faculty members are conducting various research projects in collaboration with different national and international organization. Our faculty members have good working relationship with other stakeholders of agriculture including Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture, Nepal Agriculture Research Council (NARC), National Agriculture Research and Development Fund (NARDF), LiBIRD, USAID/AVRDC, Winrock International, etc. We are also happy to provide space and accommodation to conduct workshop/ seminar and related research activities by the participating faculty members from other countries. Further, FOA has linked up with the well reputed university abroad for capacity building, enhancing research and laboratory capacity, faculty and student research, etc.
