Arunima College run by the Arunima education network is ideally located at Bouddha, Kathmandu. The commencement/emergence of the college program is a response to the need of numerous academicians, students, and parents who are seeking for a real setting of learning where the hidden potential of every individual is and mold to meet every need in the global perspective.

The college is aware of the role of an academic institution in developing professional efficiency, including higher value system, keeping or nurturing the patriotic spirit and imparting knowledge, wisdom and cultural values. The college has the motto, "Total Personality Development".

The core concern of Arunima College is to enhance learners’ capacity to adapt in the rapidly changing world. The college ensures learner friendly ambiance, resources and a plethora of methodologies and activities to attain institutional goals and strategies. The college offers Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) and Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) with the affiliation from Tribhuvan University.

Methodologies

The foundation is committed to enhancing learners’ activities and exposure for global competence and recognition. It massively applies participatory teaching-learning methods like exploratory discussions, problem solving, experimentation, project works, group works, workshops, seminars etc.

Activities

For the total personality development of the learners, various curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are designed and implemented. Curricular In general, it follows the curriculum prescribed by Nepal Government along with some additional curricula developed by the foundation itself. The textbooks have been chosen by a team of experienced faculties on the basis of appropriateness and qualityof contents.

The foundation runs a wide range of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that include sports and games, yoga and meditation, music and dance, art and craft, literary activities, quiz contests, spelling contests, excursions, social work etc. These activities are conducted in an orderly manner by students’ clubs and houses. Assessment Students’ achievement is assessed on the basis of formative, summative and behavioral modes of evaluation.

Faculties

The foundation has highly experienced, trained, qualified and self-motivated faculties. The foundation designs and implements academic plans, policies and programs in collaboration with the faculties.

Guidance and Counselling

To flourish the potential of learners, the foundation provides guidance and counseling services on a regular basis by professional school counselors.

Intellectual Workshop

Professional development of the teachers-staff plays a pivotal role in teaching-learning and services. The foundation runs need based training programs on different pedagogical and contemporary issues.

Laboratories

The foundation provides well equipped and updated science (Biology, Physics and Chemistry), IT and audio-visual laboratories to make learning experimental, life oriented and innovative.

Library

The foundation provides resourceful libraries. The libraries provide books on language and literature, Science, Information Technology, Cultural and Anthropological studies, History, Economics, Psychology, Education, Ethnic studies, Mass-communication etc. These resources serve the purpose of the course and reference materials.

Transportation

Transportation facility is provided on request at an affordable cost.

Canteen

The supply of food items concerns greatly to personal hygiene. To serve this purpose, well-managed canteens provide varieties of food items at an affordable price.

Infrastructure

Well-equipped and child-friendly classrooms, spacious playgrounds, well-furnished and spacious auditorium, meeting rooms, indoor games halls and administrative and faculty chambers, pure-drinking water plant, alternative power supply plant etc. are provisioned for quality services and facilities.

Admission Guidelines

Admission is granted on the basis of previous academic records, behavioral observation, entrance test and interview. The entrance board reserves all the rights to accept or refuse admission.

For BBS and BCA program:

The candidates are eligible if they have a minimum score of D Plus (D+) in each subjects in 10+2.
