ACCA qualification is not to be mistaken as any academic level degree, although it does qualify as completing a university degree upon completing all 14 subjects under the course.

Features

  • Oriented toward global employment/business
  • Exams are held every 3 months
  • Provision of giving re-exam if failed in any specific paper.
  • Candidates primarily deal with the regulations and implementations of policies within a company and compile with the Auditing and Taxation part

Eligibility

Along with the academic course work, ACCA also demands three years of professional experience from the students. Students will have until ten years to complete the entire qualification.

Students are required to complete 10+2/ SEE(A-C) (in five separate subjects including mathematics and English), +2 at GCE/ VCE A level( Grades A-E), or Two A-Levels and three GCSEs or equivalent in five subjects, including English and mathematics to qualify to undertake ACCA qualification.

The whole of this international qualification is divided into three modules: Applied Knowledge, Applied Skills, and Strategic Professional with 3, 6, and 4 subjects under them respectively. Upon clearing all these examinations and one online module called Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM), also known as the 14th subject, students are taken into the community of professional accountants by ACCA global body. Each module has to be cleared to be eligible to start the next. Students, however, qualify for the 14th examination as soon as they clear the Applied Knowledge level (Module 1).

ACCA offers four exam sittings in a year, and a student can sit for the examination at any order within each module.

Syllabus

The ACCA syllabus involves 13 papers divided into 3 levels. The exams are divided into 3 levels:

Each level is designed to build upon the last, ensuring that you develop the necessary expertise and skills to excel in the field of accounting. Here is a detailed look at what each level entails and the papers you will need to master.

Applied Knowledge: The Foundation

The Applied Knowledge level is your starting point. It consists of three papers that lay the groundwork for your understanding of key accounting principles. You must pass all three of these exams to progress to the next level.
