Admission Open for +2 Programs at Kathmandu Model Secondary School (KMC-Bagbazar) - 2083

Kathmandu Model Secondary School (KMC Bagbazar), a renowned educational institution that successfully carved out a distinguished reputation for its consistent 100% pass rate and outstanding performance in NEB exams, has opened admissions for the following programs:

• Ten Plus Two Management
• Ten Plus Two Law

Over nearly two decades since its establishment in 2000 A.D., KMC has consistently renovated and upgraded its facilities, fostering a technologically advanced and welcoming academic environment conducive to effective teaching and learning. 

Entrance Test:

The Admission Committee administers the Entrance Test for various programs. The test is objective in format, and students have the option to take it either in handwritten or computer-based mode. 

Entrance Exam for Science

• KMC will set an entrance exam. The date, time, and center of the entrance exam will be sent to your email.
• Entrance exam will be paper based, model questions will be provided through email.
• Entrance questions include English 20 marks, Science 40 marks and Mathematics 40 marks.
• Students’ answer sheets will be checked by computer, so students are advised to follow instructions given by invigilators.
• Result of entrance will be published after 2nd day of the examination or informed during examination.
• Students who are listed in the merit list (all the entrance-passed students may not include in merit list) are informed to either direct admission or an interview. The date of the interview will be given along with the result.

Entrance Exam:

• KMC will set an entrance exam.

• The entrance exam will be physical and computer-based multiple-choice questions. Model questions will be provided through email.

• Answers will be checked by computer so students are suggested to follow the instructions given by invigilators. Result of entrance will be published on the same day of examination or will be informed during the examination.

• Entrance questions include English 45 marks, General Knowledge 15 marks and Mathematics 15 marks.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Management

• Students must have secured at least a 2.0 GPA in the SEE or an equivalent recognized board.
• They must have at least a C grade in Compulsory Mathematics and English.

For  Law:

• Students must have secured at least a 1.60 GPA in the SEE or an equivalent recognized board.
• They must have at least a C grade in Compulsory Mathematics and English.

For Science:

• Students must have secured at least a 2.85 GPA in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) or an equivalent recognized board.
• They must have at least a B+ grade in Science, Compulsory Mathematics, and English.

Scholarship Opportunities

KMC offers a wide range of merit-based, need-based, and student-specific scholarships through its scholarship program. 

A. BASIC SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES 

Those who meet the scholarship eligibility criteria must be admitted before the scholarship quota is filled, as the scholarship is available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

• Scholarship for Science in Grade XI during admission is awarded based on cumulative marks [SEE (25%) + KMC Entrance (75%)]. 

• Marks of SEE will be calculated as follows:

B. Special Scholarship Schemes

• A limited number of scholarships will be awarded on a merit basis, and students must pass each terminal exam to continue receiving the scholarship.

• The Sushil Memorial Scholarship, established in memory of Late Sushil Sahani, will be awarded to the top three students of the KMC first entrance examination. Students securing at least 2.85 GPA in SEE or in an equivalent recognized board with a B grade each in Science, Compulsory Mathematics, Optional Mathematics, and English will be eligible for the science stream.

• Photos of mother and father (if applicable)

Valid Email ID:

•  Students are required to use a valid email address, as all documents will be sent to it. After submitting the form, students shall check their email, including the 'Spam' folder if needed. 

Admit Card:

• The admit card for the entrance examination will be sent to the student's registered email. The student must ensure that they bring a printed copy of the admit card to the examination venue.
