Eligibility

For MA English (Morning)

Students who have passed Bachelor's degree in such academic disciplines as Law, Development Studies, Social Work, Media and Communication, Management, English literature, and Education, among other disciplines, can apply for admission to M.A. in English program. 

In its MA program, IACER offers courses like Translation Studies, Culture and Tourism, Nepal Studies, Globalization, International Relations and Human Rights, Leisure Studies, History of Ideas, Environmental Literature, Advanced Academic Writing, Media Studies, Culture and Society, Literary Theory and Criticism, Discourses in Discipline, Film, and Fiction, and Theatre among other courses. 

For MPhil English (Evening)

Students who have a Master’s degree in any discipline are eligible for admission to MPhil in English. 

The MPhil in English program at IACER combines academic and practical courses, aiming to empower students to delve into their interests and uncover new avenues of thinking that enrich both their professional trajectories and academic pursuits. While the program provides a foundation in English philosophy and theory, its primary emphasis lies in equipping students with practical research skills. The program's core focus is on fostering development and social change, utilizing English language studies as a catalyst. It offers courses in cultural studies, philosophy, ethnic and identity studies, and international relations, all integrated within the broader framework of English Studies.
