Master in Urban Studies Admission Open - KU School of Arts

Kathmandu University, School of Arts, announces admission open for the Master's in Urban Studies 2025. The Master in Urban Studies is a distinctive interdisciplinary program that combines courses from engineering, natural sciences, and social sciences. It provides a comprehensive understanding of cities, urbanization processes, and various aspects of urban life, society, and governance.

Deadline for Application Submission: July 20, 2026, Monday
Eligibility:
Completion of at least a 3-year Bachelor’s degree with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 out of 4.0, or an equivalent of 50 percent marks in the latest degree obtained, will be the basic criterion for admission. Also, securing acceptable results or ranking in the entrance exam will be essential.
The entrance exam will test the candidate’s language proficiency and analytical abilities.
For the Master in Media Studies, candidates with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the relevant field will require a minimum CGPA of 2 out of 4 (45 percent).

Copy of Citizenship Certificate or National ID or Passport
PP- Size Photos
Transcripts (School level, 10+2 / A- Level or Equivalent, and Bachelor's or above for Master's Degree Applicants)
Certificates of all previous degrees.
Migration Certificate (original hardcopy to be submitted to Admissions Office post-admission)
(Notes: If you are waiting for your final year’s results, you may submit certificates and mark sheets until the previous exams)

Send all required documents, including proof of payment and the application letter (motivation essay), to soa_admission@ku.edu.np or submit them in hard copy to the Admissions Office, Hattiban.
After Submission:
1. You will receive sample questions once you submit your application.
