Kathmandu University, School of Science, invites applications for admission in the following Undergraduate Programs for the academic year 2025:
At Kathmandu University, School of Science candidates are required to appear in the Kathmandu University Common Admission Test (KUCAT), in either PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) or PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), according to their choice of academic program. The Entrance Exam will be conducted in the mode of Computer-Based Test (CBT).
Must have passed with subjects PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) or PMCs (Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science) in both XI and XII (or equivalent)
Students from the Biology stream must have taken and passed Additional Mathematics for PCM test eligibility.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission
Academic Qualifications
Applicants must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with one of the following:
Minimum GPA: 2.0
Minimum Percentage: 50% aggregate marks or equivalent
Accepted Qualifications and Combinations
A-Level
Minimum of 3 A-level subjects and 1 AS-level in any of the following subject combinations:
PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)
PMCs (Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science)
If the Percentage Uniform Mark (PUM) is provided, a 50% aggregate is required.
If PUM is not provided, at least Grade D in the required subject combination.
IB Diploma
Minimum of 6 subjects with one of the following subject combinations:
PCB, PCM, or PMCs
Must have a final IB grade of 3 in each subject separately.
CTEVT Diploma Holders
Eligible for related disciplines, subject to meeting equivalent percentage criteria.
Foreign Boards
Must submit an equivalence certificate from Kathmandu University authority at the time of admission.
Entrance Examination
All applicants (except for Bachelor's in Health Informatics and Bachelor's in Heritage Conservation) must appear in the Kathmandu University Common Admission Test (KUCAT) Computer-Based Test (CBT 2025).
Provisional Admission
Candidates awaiting Grade 12 results may apply for provisional admission, subject to meeting the above eligibility requirements once results are published.
