Admission Open at Nepal Open University for Various Programs

Nepal Open University (NOU) has announced the opening of applications for its academic programs for the upcoming session. The Central Office of NOU, located in Manbhavan, Lalitpur, invites students to apply for a wide range of MPhil and Master's degree programs under the faculties of Social Sciences, Education, Health, and Management for the academic year 2081.

Programs Offered

The university offers the following major programs:

  • MPhil in Social Sciences (2 Years or 4 Semesters)
    Specializations include:

    • MPhil in English
    • MPhil in Sociology
    • Mphil in Anthropology
    • MPhil in Political Science
    • MPhil in Economics
  • MPhil in Education (2 Years or 4 Semesters)
    Specializations include:

    • MPhil in English Education
    • MPhil in Nepali Education
    • MPhil in Mathematics Education
    • MPhil in Health Education
    • MPhil in Education Studies
  • Master in Media and Communication Studies (MMCS) (2 Years or 4 Semesters)

  • Master in Educational Sciences (MES) (2 Years or 4 Semesters)
    Specializations:

    • Education Studies
    • Nepali Education
    • English Education

Additionally, NOU is offering programs in Science, Health, and Technology including:

  • MPhil in ICT
  • Master’s in e-Governance
  • Master in Geoinformatics
  • Master of Science in Natural Resource and Development (MSNRD)
  • Master of Science in Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH)

The Management and Law department offers:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Master of Science in Development Management and Governance (MSDMG)

Interested applicants can visit the official website www.nou.edu.np for detailed information and to access the online application forms. The application fee is set at NPR 1,000 for all programs except those under Management and Law department, where the fee is NPR 1,200.
