Law programs in Nepal are offered by Tribhuvan University are Master of Laws (LLM), Bachelor of Laws(LLB), Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Laws (BALLB), and 3 years of LLM. As for Kathmandu University, it has been providing law education in Bachelor of Business Management & Bachelor of Law (BBM LLB). Nepal Law Campus was established in 1954, is the oldest college in Nepal. The campus was previously operated in affiliation with the Patna University of India under the Institute of Law.
After the establishment of Tribhuvan University(TU) in 1959 in Nepal, Nepal Law Campus changed its faculty from ‘the Institute of Law’ to ‘the Faculty of Law'. Nepal Law Campus then became a constituent college of Tribhuvan University. Thus, Nepal Law Campus has its largest contribution in advancing legal education in Nepal, and for creating a foundation for other existing legal programs in Nepal.
