The Central Department of Microbiology calls for application from interested candidates for the position of assistant researcher to work in the Wastewater-based Epidemiology of SARS-COV-2 for Averting COVID-19 project operated by the department.
Interested candidates are requested to submit their application within Ashadh 28, 2078 (July 12, 2021).
Eligibility criteria
For Senior Research Assistant -1
- A Nepali citizen with a Master's degree in Microbiology and a PhD in the same or a related field.
- Special priority will be given to the candidate who has experience in water research project with expertise in Molecular Biology mainly in Real Time PCR and has published at least 3 research works in Scientific Peer Review Journal.
- Candidates, who have graduated or completed their PhD from Central Department of Microbiology, Tribhuvan University will be given priority.
For Research Assistant-1
- A Nepali citizen with a Master's degree in microbiology.
- Special priority will be given to the candidates pursuing PhD in Microbiology with at least one research paper published as a first author in a reputed journal.
- Candidates who have graduated from Central Department of Microbiology, Tribhuvan University will be given priority.
For Junior Research Assistant- 2
- A Nepali citizen who has a bachelor's degree in microbiology and has completed all theoretical as well as practical aspects under Master’s level and is currently working on thesis.
- Special priority will be given to the candidate who has published at least one research paper on COVID-19 in any international journal or is working on wastewater related issues for their master’s thesis.
- Students who are currently enrolled in Central Department of Microbiology, Tribhuvan University as a master’s student will be given priority.
