Krishnanagar Municipality is one of the 10 municipalities in Kapilvastu District of Lumbini Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 70,111, comprising 35,121 males (50.1%) and 34,990 females (49.9%), with a literacy rate of 67.01%. Spanning 96.66 square kilometers, Krishnanagar Municipality exhibits the population density of 725 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 12 wards.
