Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City is one of the 18 municipalities in Dhanusha District of Madhesh Province. As per the 2021 census, the sub-metropolitan city has a total population of 194,556, comprising 99,764 males (51.3%) and 94,792 females (48.7%), with a literacy rate of 76.65%. Spanning 91.97 square kilometers, Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City exhibits the population density of 2,115 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 25 wards.
