Public Schools in Budhanilakantha

Budhanilakantha Municipality is one of the 11 municipalities in Kathmandu District of Bagmati Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 177,557, comprising 87,337 males (49.2%) and 90,220 females (50.8%), with a literacy rate of 89.72%. Spanning 34.8 square kilometers, Budhanilakantha Municipality exhibits the population density of 5,102 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 13 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Budhanilakantha has 130 schools. Of these, 102 are private and 25 are public. The breakdown includes 91 pre-schools, 110 basic schools, and 80 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 19 offer +2 programs.
