Bardibas Municipality is one of the 15 municipalities in Mahottari District of Madhesh Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 74,361, comprising 36,711 males (49.4%) and 37,650 females (50.6%), with a literacy rate of 72.52%. Spanning 315.57 square kilometers, Bardibas Municipality exhibits the population density of 236 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 14 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Bardibas has 76 schools. Of these, 22 are private and 52 are public. The breakdown includes 52 pre-schools, 69 basic schools, and 34 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 13 offer +2 programs.
