Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City is one of the 10 municipalities in Dang District of Lumbini Province. As per the 2021 census, the sub-metropolitan city has a total population of 200,530, comprising 93,806 males (46.8%) and 106,724 females (53.2%), with a literacy rate of 83.05%. Spanning 522.21 square kilometers, Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City exhibits the population density of 384 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 19 wards.
According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Ghorahi has 174 schools.
