As per the 2021 census, the sub-metropolitan city has a total population of 200,530, comprising 93,806 males (46.8%) and 106,724 females (53.2%), with a literacy rate of 83.05%. Spanning 522.21 square kilometers, Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City exhibits the population density of 384 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 19 wards.
