Basic Schools in Buddhabhumi

Buddhabhumi Municipality is one of the 10 municipalities in Kapilvastu District of Lumbini Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 76,507, comprising 36,951 males (48.3%) and 39,556 females (51.7%), with a literacy rate of 71.48%. Spanning 366.67 square kilometers, Buddhabhumi Municipality exhibits the population density of 209 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 10 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Buddhabhumi has 78 schools. Of these, 17 are private and 56 are public. The breakdown includes 61 pre-schools, 74 basic schools, and 19 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 9 offer +2 programs.
