KU School of Education announces PhD Fellowship

Kathmandu University School of Education (KUSOED) announces one full-time PhD fellowship for Nepali citizens starting from May 2016. The fellowship is provided by the project 'Gender Equality, Peace and Security in Nepal and Myanmar, which is funded by the Research Council of Norway's NORGLOBAL program to the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIG) and implemented in Nepal by the Nepal Centre for Contemporary Research (NCCR). This is a three year full time study.

Eligibility

  • Completed at-least 18 years of formal education;
  • MPhil degree or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 3.25 out of four point grading system or 60% in aggregate in previous degree.
  • Candidates willing to apply for PhD must submit a full research proposal of not more than 4,000 words in following area (this is only a tentative title): "Peace education with focuses on the gender dimension of disarmament demobilization and reintegration (DDR) processes in Nepal"

  • Deadline for Application : 6 May 2016 (7:00 PM)
  • Written Entrance Test : 10 May 2016 1.00 PM
  • Interview & Presentation of Research Proposal: 12 May 2016 Program Resumes : 15 May 2016

Selected candidate will spend sir months in Norway during the study period.
