The Embassy of India, Kathmandu invites online applications for Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme from Nepali nationals studying in Nepal.
The Online Application may please be submitted through the web portal www.goischolarship.com.np. The portal will be closed at 00.00 hrs on November 20, 2024.

- Last date to Apply: November 19, 2024 up to 23:59 hrs.
Students need not visit the Embassy but have to submit all the documents online which will be verified by the Embassy itself.

1. Eligibility
- Candidate should be a regular Undergraduate student of 1st year (not Diploma) in any recognized educational institute of Nepal. Proof of student studying in the first year of Bachelor Course and not receiving scholarship from any other source, duly attested by Principal/Head of Institute to be uploaded.
- Candidate must have secured at least 70% aggregate marks in Class 12 (excluding Class 11 marks). Mark Sheet of Class 12 to be uploaded.
- Age Limit: Applicant must be between 17 to 22 years of age as on 1st July 2025.
- Candidate must be a citizen of Nepal. Citizenship Certificate of self and parents to be uploaded.
- In case of physically challenged Candidate, certificate issued by officer of the Government of Nepal (Local/District Administration Office, etc.) to be uploaded.
- Family income of the Candidate must be less than NPR 2,00,000/- per annum. Latest income certificate issued by officer of the Government of Nepal (Local/District Administration Office, etc.) to be uploaded.
2. Scholarship Amount and Duration
The selected Candidates will get the scholarship amount as detailed below:

- The scholarship will continue in the second and subsequent years only on submission of the following documents:
i) A copy of mark sheet(s) of each year;
ii) Present status certificate of promotion to and study in next year/semester of the opted course with PERCENTAGE (an AGGREGATE Percentage in case of Semester System) obtained in the previous year, duly authenticated by Principal/Head of Institute.
The scholarship awardees may submit the above-mentioned documents latest by December 31 each year via Email on mail ID “attacheedu.kathmandu@mea.gov.in”. Further installments of the scholarship will be deposited in the bank a/c (opened by the Embassy in the name of scholarship awardee) only on receipt of requisite documents. If the documents are not received in the given time-frame, the scholarship will be terminated.

Applicants receiving scholarship from any other sources are not eligible for these scholarship schemes.

Applicants should correctly indicate their Name, Address, Email ID, Contact Numbers, Marks, etc. while submitting the applications on the portal and should also upload their recent passport size photograph along with legible/readable documents on the portal to avoid rejection of their applications.

Candidates should keep their Email ID and its Password in safe custody for future correspondence/reference as all the communications (e.g., verification of original documents, information regarding selection of the candidate, opening of bank A/c for depositing the scholarship amount, guidelines, reminders, etc.) by the Embassy will be sent to the registered Email only.

Before filling in the Online Application Form, the candidates are advised to read instructions/guidelines thoroughly as there is no scope for modification of the application in the online system after final submission of the form. The candidates should ensure the final submission of the form by the generation of an acknowledgement receipt.

Any document sent by Email/Post, after the due date of submission of the Application Form, will not be considered.

Candidates are advised to interact/communicate solely with the Education Wing of the Embassy of India, Kathmandu.

The MGSS scholarship awardees, not passed in Grade 11, and GJSS scholarship awardees not passed in the first year or subsequent years (both semesters) of their Bachelor Course, will not be entitled to the scholarship from that year onwards.

The Embassy reserves the right to accept or reject any application and continue or discontinue the scholarship.
