On Sunday, Kartik 25, 2081, Himalaya College of Engineering held a welcome and orientation program for around 280 new students enrolled in various bachelor's programs, including BE Computer, BE Electronics, Communication & Information, BE Civil, B. Architecture, B.Sc.CSIT, and BCA. The event took place in the college's assembly hall in Chayasal.
The chief guest inaugurated the orientation, Prof. Dr. Sushil Bahadur Bajracharya, Associate Dean of the Institute of Engineering at Tribhuvan University. Prof. Bajracharya introduced the university's latest policies and initiatives and congratulated the new students on joining the academic journey, emphasizing the value of practical education.
Prof. Dr. Govinda Pokharel, former Vice-Chairperson of the Planning Commission, was also a distinguished speaker. He offered guidance on achieving success in academic pursuits. Mr. Tanka Prasad Khanal, head of the college’s examination department, outlined the syllabus and examination structure for the semester-based programs.
The college's principal, Mr. Kishor Gautam, concluded the event by highlighting the college's rules, daily responsibilities, discipline expectations, and academic policies. Mr. Ashok GM moderated the program.
