Tribhuvan University's Faculty of Education, located in Balkhu, Kathmandu, has announed the launch of their Master of Educational Science in Digital Pedagogy (MES DP) program. Aiming specifically for full-time and part-time teachers, the program will be provided in ODL mode which combines distance and blended learning allowing students the ability to learn from home as well as attend classes on campus.
Designed to provide teachers with knowledge and skills in using digital tools and technology, this is a unique program that aims to enhance their teaching abilities. Topics covered in the curriculum include digital pedagogy, educational technology, educational research and instructional design.
The program is launched under Open and Distance Education Centre of Tribhuvan University (ODEC, TU) that was established in 2015 A.D. to fulfill the growing demand for distance learning. Through the open and distance learning (ODL) mode, TU aims to provide access to higher level education for the working professionals who are unable to attend face-to-face classes due to conflicting schedules and reach a wide range of people both in Nepal and abroad.
