Dr. Mahashram Sharma, Chairman of the National Examination Board, highlighted the significance of parental involvement in enhancing children's capabilities. Speaking at the 'Saugat Icon 2080 Season 7’ event organized by Saugat Montessori School, he emphasized the crucial role parents play in fostering the right environment for their children's growth.
Dr. Sharma underscored the impact of the upbringing environment, rituals, and culture on children's behavior, emphasizing that today's children shape the youth of tomorrow. He called on parents to be attentive to the manner in which they raise their children.
Rajya Lakshmi Shrestha, Head of Montessori School, shared the view that programs like these contribute to the social behavior and skill development of children. The school has conducted the 'Saugat Icon' program since 2073 to enhance children's leadership abilities, confidence, and communication skills. The event, held on Mangsir 23 (December 9), showcased students' talents through cultural dances, fashion shows, and quizzes featuring various Nepali costumes.
Twenty-one students participated in the competition, with Krisma Panthi in the female category and Nirbhik Gautam excelling in the male category. Arav Yadav and Serlin Shrestha secured the first runner-up position, while Samip Subedi and Abhya Gautam were recognized as the second runners-up. All participating students received honors in various categories.
